About the Teacher

Ms. Anna / Teacher and Director of Program

Welcome to SOTH Preschool, my name is Anna Piette. I live in the Post Falls area with my husband Russell and our three children.  I am a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran, and feel honored to serve the community as a Christian based Preschool Teacher.  At SOTH, I have participated in many years of Preschool Vacation Bible school and also taught Sunday school to 3rd-5th graders; currently I teach our Preschool Sunday school.  I love teaching little ones while also helping them grow in Christ.   I am a Native to North Idaho, born and raised in Rathdrum. I attended Lakeland School District K-12.  This will be my 15th year in Education. Over the years, I worked as a public educator for the Coeur d’ Alene School District. I began my career in the Fall of 2009 as a Kindergarten teacher. My experience also includes 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade.   In the Fall of 2018 I took a pause from the classroom to pursue Administration.  I served as the Assistant Principal at Winton Elementary in Coeur d’ Alene  from Fall of 2018 to Spring of 2021. I took a leave of absence for the 2021-2022 school year after having our second child so I could stay home. I received my Bachelors in Elementary Education from the University of Montana and my Masters in Administration and Supervision through the University of Phoenix and the University of Idaho.  I have continued to grow as an educator through countless trainings and conferences as well as ensuring my license is current with Professional Development courses. I am excited to share my passion for teaching and the love of Christ with you and your family!

I bring experience from the public schools to adequately prepare children for the social and academic rigor of kindergarten.
